The Thomaston Railway Station is a historic landmark in the upper Naugatuck Valley. The station is part of the Naugatuck Railroad which commenced operations in September of 1849 and serviced all of the river communities from Winsted to Bridgeport.
The station is located next to the Plume and Atwood facility. Today it is being refurbished to its original stature and will serve as the headquarters for the Naugatuck Railroad and the Railroad Museum of New England.
