How do I know if my planned use is permitted on a property?
There are specific zones in the Town of Thomaston for residential, commercial, or industrial uses. The Table of Permitted Uses located in Section 4 of the Zoning Regulations indicates what uses are permissible in each zone.
If you are considering the purchase of property or rental of space for your business, your first step should be to determine the zone in which the property is located. This can be done using GIS mapping on the Assessor's page.
