The Thomaston Historical Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Historical Society Museum, located on the 6th floor of the Town Hall, features a collection of artifacts, including antique clocks, highlighting the town's heritage and the Seth Thomas Clock Company.

Thomaston Dam

A picturesque recreational area in Connecticut offering diverse outdoor activities on 849 acres of land and water resources. Through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, the Pathfinders have been promoting safe and legal riding at the Thomaston Dam since 1979.

Nystrom's Park is located in Thomaston, at the intersection of Turner Road and Hickory Hill Road with access to parking located on both Turner Road and Hickory Hill Road. The main entrance to the beach area is located on Turner Road.
