We work from late March until mid-November with the heaviest work in Spring and Fall. In the summer we work independently depending on your schedule.

Volunteers give what they can. Some do lots of work…. some do one important chore. The communication is mostly by email when setting up the work parties. We work during the week and weekends. Also, there is plenty of opportunity to work when your schedule allows. You will find wonderful friendships working side by side in the garden. No experience needed; we do on the job training!!

The gardens we currently tend to:

  • Reeves Field Memorial
  • Kenea Park
  • Veterans Park with American Legion volunteers
  • Adams parking lot garden along Main Street
  • Post Office Gardens
  • Town Hall gardens
  • Thomaston Library- front gardens
  • Seth Thomas Park
  • Center Street Garden
  • Firehouse garden- across from the Firehouse
  • Welcome sign garden in front of Cumberland Farms
  • Gardens at the intersection of Hickory Hill Rd and Walnut Hill Rd
  • Nystroms Park garden - under the entrance sign

Please contact Mary Beth Johnson to come on board. mbjohnson56@yahoo.com
