Special Town Meeting

 

 

            The electors and those persons eligible to vote in town meetings of the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut, are hereby WARNED AND NOTIFIED that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Town Hall, in the Lena Morton Gallery, 158 Main Street, Thomaston, Connecticut, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:

 

ITEM 1.  As recommended by the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a resolution to appropriate an amount not to exceed $151,000 for WPCA sewer plant and inflow and infiltration studies, paid for by appropriating funds from the Town’s undesignated fund balance in an amount not to exceed $151,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary after deducting any federal, state or other grants-in-aid or other funds received for the project, and to authorize the First Selectman to execute all documents and take all actions necessary or convenient for said purpose.

 

ITEM 2. As recommended by the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a resolution to appropriate $42,381.45 from the Contingency line item and to transfer that money to the Town Hall Maintenance line item, and to authorize the First Selectman to take all actions and execute all documents necessary or convenient for said purpose.

 

ITEM 3. As recommended by the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a resolution to appropriate $52,074.44 from fund balance and to transfer that money to the Transfer Station Fund balance, and to authorize the First Selectman to execute all documents and take all actions necessary or convenient for said purpose.

 

ITEM 4. To consider and act on a Building Permit Fees Ordinance amending Chapter 154 of the Code of the Town of Thomaston.

 

ITEM 5. To consider and act on a Line of Duty Death Determinations Ordinance amending Chapters 32 and 75 of the Code of the Town of Thomaston.

 

ITEM 6. To consider and act on an Aquifer Protection Agency Fees Ordinance amending Chapter 154 of the Code of the Town of Thomaston.
