Toys for Tots Train

The Naugatuck Railroad is again partnering with Operation Toy Train and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for the Toys for Tots Train, which helps spread the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children in our local neighborhoods.

Please support this effort by bringing donations of new, unwrapped toys to one of four scheduled stops:

• Waterbury (behind Fascia's Chocolates), 44 Chase River Road, 12 to 12:30 p.m.
• Thomaston Station, 242 East Main Street, 1 to 1:30 p.m.
• East Litchfield stop, 70 East Litchfield Road, 2 to 2:45 p.m.
• Torrington (next to Alfredo's Deli), 170 Water Street, 3 to 3:30 p.m.

This is not an excursion train, and no tickets will be sold for the trip.

In recent years, the Toys for Tots Train has collected an average of 1,500 toys, enough to fill 15 bins. This year, the Naugatuck Railroad is hoping to fill our its express car by collecting 20 bins full of donations! Please stop by and give what you can.
