The Kerry Boys to appear at Summer Concert Series in Thomaston

The Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston continues its 19th year of free summer concerts in the park with a concert by the cover group, The Kerry Boys.  This concert will be held in beautiful Seth Thomas Park on South Main St., from 7 PM to 8:30 PM on Monday, July 18th.  The corporate sponsor for the Summer Concert Series is the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.  Additional sponsors include Barrett Family Oil and the First Congregational Church of Thomaston Women’s Fellowship.

The Kerry Boys are Mark James, originally from County Kerry, Ireland and now a Cheshire, CT resident, and Pierce Campbell from Prospect, CT, aka CT official State Troubadour 2007-08.  These two dynamic and popular CT Irish balladeers have been performing together for over 20 years, dazzling fans of all ages from Main to New York.  Their humorous, high-energy show will have you clapping and singing along, engaging you from start to finish with their wide collection of traditional and original Irish/Celtic songs performed with pristine harmonies, expressive guitar and mandolin.  Joining them at this concert will be special guest Colleen Filush on fiddle.

Seth Thomas Park is handicap accessible.  The Town of Thomaston does not permit liquor in its Parks.  Bring your lawn chair or blanket, and prepare to sit back and enjoy the wonder of live music!  In the event of inclement weather, this concert will be moved to the Thomaston Opera House, 158 Main St., Thomaston Town Hall.  To check weather status, visit the website at www.thomastonfinearts.com.
