Too Blue celebrates the 4th at Summer Concert Series in Thomaston

The Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston continues its 19th year of free summer concerts in the park with a concert by the bluegrass group, Too Blue.  This concert will be held in beautiful Seth Thomas Park on South Main St., from 7 PM to 8:30 PM on Monday, July 4th.  The corporate sponsor for the Summer Concert Series is the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.  Additional sponsors include Lyons Funeral Home; Henry M. Osowiecki & Sons, Inc; Thomaston Dental Associates; Stone Crest Realty; Hometown Pizza III; and Gilland & Gilland, LLP.

Too Blue is returning to the Thomaston Stage with their acoustic quartet that picks, swings and sings with a unique blend of bluegrass, old and new, flavored with country and jazz, and just sizzles with hot instrumentals and sweet harmonies.  Traveling freely between the genres of bluegrass, swing, Celtic and jazz, a Too Blue performance is a dynamic dose of serious fun.  Smooth singing and adventurous musicianship bring stellar arrangements to life and leave the listener anything but ‘blue’!

Seamlessly blending their vocals are guitarist Betsy Rome, banjoist Joan Harrison, and mandolin powerhouse Michael Sassano who astound and entertain, while jazz bassist Jamie Doris brings a creative and unique perspective to the band.

Seth Thomas Park is handicap accessible.  The Town of Thomaston does not permit liquor in its Parks.  Bring your lawn chair or blanket, and prepare to sit back and enjoy the wonder of live music!  In the event of inclement weather, this concert will be moved to the Thomaston Opera House at 158 Main Street.  To check weather status, visit the website at www.thomastonfinearts.com.
