The electors and those persons eligible to vote in town meetings of the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut, are hereby warned and notified that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Thomaston Opera House at the Thomaston Town Hall, 158 Main Street, Thomaston, Connecticut on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. for the following purposes:
1. As recommended by the Board of Finance, to appropriate $178,438.46 from the Undesignated Fund Balance of the Town of Thomaston for the purchase of a 2020 Freightliner 14SD-L9 stock plow truck per proposal dated December 8, 2020; and
2. As recommended by the Board of Finance, to authorize a 7-year annual lease/purchase of a 2020 HV507 International plow truck (6 yard) per proposal dated December 8, 2020 with first payment of $27,965.00 to be paid from Undesignated Fund Balance and all remaining payments to be leased for a total cost of $195,755.00.
