Summer Concert Series in Thomaston features Steel Pan Band

The Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston will continue its 17th year of free summer concerts in the park with the Roylety Steel Pan Band.  The concert will be held in beautiful Seth Thomas Park on South Main St., from 7 PM to 8:30 PM on Monday, July 8th.  In the event of rain, this concert will be held in the auditorium of Thomaston High School, Route 109, Thomaston.  The corporate sponsor for the Summer Concert Series is the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.

The Roylety Steel Pan Band, led by Jim Royle, is based out of Connecticut’s Fairfield County.  The group performs throughout Connecticut and in the tri-state area, performing at private parties, corporate events, weddings, anniversaries, Caribbean theme parties, and children’s educational concerts.  Their repertoire ranges from traditional songs from the Caribbean (Yellow Bird, Jump In The Line), to reggae styles, Jimmy Buffet and Latin Styles.

Seth Thomas Park is handicap accessible.  The Town of Thomaston does not permit liquor in its Parks.  Bring your lawn chair or blanket, and prepare to sit back and enjoy the wonder of live music!  To check weather status, visit the website at www.thomastonfinearts.com.
