Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston Announces Summer Concerts!

The Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston has selected the bands that will appear in the 2018 free Summer Band concerts at Seth Thomas Park in Thomaston.  This is the 16th year of the concert series, supported by corporate sponsor: Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.

The concerts are held on Monday evenings, beginning on June 25th, and run through August 20th, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and happen at Seth Thomas Park on South Main St., Thomaston.  Each concert is free, and all are welcome to attend; the Park is handicap accessible.  In the event of rain, the concerts move to the air-conditioned Thomaston High School auditorium, Branch Road, Thomaston.

The concert for June 25th features a Community Band favorite, The Harmonious Brass Choir sponsored by The Thomaston Rotary Club.  In the event of rain, this concert would be held at the First Congregational Church on Main St.

July 2nd brings in a vocal folk band new to the series:  Windborne, which has played up & down the Eastern coast.

July 9th is a concert by a crowd favorite, Pierce Campbell, with his 60’s Satisfaction group.  If you love the music of the 60’s, be sure to be with us!!  Barrett Family Oil is sponsoring this concert.

July 16th features another new performer, Deni Bonet, with her own eclectic stylings, who has even performed at the White House!

On July 23rd, we welcome the jazz group, Chris Coogan Quartet for an evening of fine Jazz/Funk/Fusion.

July 30th, we feature The Page Turners, an original folk singer/songwriter group with their own music, as well as some old favorites.

August 6th promises to be a great evening of country/folk mix with the ever popular Goldrush returning to the stage.  In the event of rain, this concert would be held at the First Congregational Church on Main St.

August 13th features the eclectic Afro-Semitic Experience, a dynamite group which has been very well received in previous years.

Closing out this year’s 16th season is another Thomaston favorite, Clearview, with their classic rock/pop/ and Top 40’s sounds.

Plan now to bring your lawn chairs to Thomaston’s Seth Thomas Park at 7 pm on Monday nights, beginning on June 25th.  Parking is available at the Unimetal lot across from the Park.  Due to a town ordinance, alcohol is not permitted in the Park.
