5/24/2018 - Annual Budget Town Meeting
June 6th at 7 p.m. the Annual Budget Town Meeting will take place at the Town Hall in Lena Morton Gallery. At the conclusion of the Public Hearing regarding the budget, the Board of Finance proposed a Budget of $ 26,537,518 which represents an increase of $ 167,967 or .64% over last year's budget. This will result in an increase in mill rate increase from 35.05 to 35.79 a .74 mill rate increase. This was accomplished in an environment of ever declining revenue from the State to Thomaston. Another agenda item to be addressed at the meeting is an Ordinance related to fees and pets at Nystroms Park. Both items will be voted on at this important Town Meeting.
