The Registrar of Voters Office, located on Level 4 of the Town Hall is responsible for keeping records of all the registered voters in Thomaston. The office works closely with the Secretary of States Office and the Town Clerks Office and is responsible for overseeing the Election Process in a non-partisan manner for all Elections, Primaries, and Referendums. The polling place for Thomaston is located in the Crescent Art Gallery next to the Opera House Box Office. During Presidential years the Election is held in the Lena Morton Art Gallery located on the 3 rd level near the Town Clerks Office.
How to register to vote:
1. Follow the link to the Secretary of States website at www.ct.gov and register online or download the form and mail it to the following address:

Register at your local DMV
- Stop in the Town Clerks Office during office hours or the
- Registrar of Voters office on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Voter Requirements are:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be a resident of Thomaston
- Be at least 17 years old (you can vote when you turn 18)
- Have not been convicted of felony until your rights are restored
- Must have valid identification (see list on form)
Your application must be approved by the Registrar of voters before you are eligible to vote.
